THIS is Making People Sick.

hate_my_jobby Sean Croxton

Some people don’t like it when I talk about this.

Maybe it pushes them too far out of their comfort zone — just a bit too much reality from the podcast guy, I guess.

But this needs to be said.

When I was a diet and lifestyle coach, my job was to look for and find the root cause(s) of health conditions — digestive problems, low libido, poor memory and brain fog, weight gain, you name it.

Working one-on-one with real people for several years, a practitioner begins to see patterns, or common denominators, amongst his clients.

Of course there are the more obvious trends — eating the wrong foods and not making the time for exercise.

Yet the trend that showed up repeatedly was a pervasive sense of apathy for how my clients earned their livings.

In other words, they hated their jobs.

In fact, many barely knew their own children due to their jam-packed schedules. Intimate relationships were falling apart. Debt was rising. To earn more, they had to work more.

And it was making them sick.

Let’s face it, spending eight, nine, maybe ten hours of the day working a job that you have zero passion for is stressful.

No amount of real food, interval training, or New Age woo-woo can offset the damage done to your body by showing up every day to a job that leaves you feeling “stuck” and unfulfilled.

In my experience, work-related stress is as much responsible for our health care crisis as poor diet, smoking, and physical inactivity.

Let us not forget that…

Stress imbalances the hormonal system, potentially causing thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, sex hormone depletion, menstrual irregularities, and blood sugar problems.

It breaks down the hippocampus, bringing on short-term memory issues.

It slows digestion so you’ll have the energy reserves to fight off an angry bear (a.k.a. your boss).

It increases fat-storing hormones like cortisol and insulin, leading to weight gain.

I can keep going.

And that’s why, when February rolls around, I get so passionate about introducing my readers, viewers, and listeners to Marie Forleo and her B-School program.

Most of my health blogger friends wonder how in the world I can promote an online business course to my subscribers.

Well, it’s because your job and your health are one and the same.

Let’s be real about this. As much as we try to dodge and skate around this topic, real food costs money. Natural health care options cost money. And real food and natural health care for an entire family costs a LOT of money.

I mean, we can either keep on trading our time for dollars (but there are only so many hours in a day, ya know) or we can try something new — like learning how to leverage our passions to not only generate income while we’re sleeping, but to help impact people’s lives at the same time.

No, it’s not easy. And it certainly doesn’t happen overnight. But it’s possible. I would know.

Over the next week I’ll be filling you in on how you can hire me as your coach (for FREE), come hang out with me for a weekend in San Diego, persuade me to give you a B-School scholarship out of my own pocket, and maybe even win an entire year of business coaching with me.

That’s how committed I am to helping you live a life you love — a life of purpose, passion, and of course, profits.

Stay tuned for that.

Today I want you to learn more about the basics of growing a successful online biz. In part 2 of her FREE video training series, Marie covers:
