Friday Fun Day! A Double Dose of Nastiness!

April 29th, 2011

Yoooooo!!

Before we get to today’s workout, I must say that last night’s radio show with Bruce Fife was an INSTANT CLASSIC.

I was amazed by how much we covered in a little over an hour. We chatted about:

* Why coconut oil has been stigmatized and synonymous with heart disease
* The soybean industry’s influence in creating the coconut oil fear
* How coconut oil may reverse Alzheimer’s
* Why cooking with “heart healthy” vegetable oils is NOT a good idea
* How vegetable oils can slow down your thyroid
* The connection between low-grade infections and heart disease
* How much coconut oil YOU should use every day
* And a whole bunch of other good stuff!

Listen HERE!

Thanks for all of your submitted questions and call-ins. Makes my job nice and easy!

TODAY, Josh Trent of Wellness Force made a return to Underground Wellness along with our new friend-in-fitness John Parker of FitLife TV.

The workout was BRUTAL! Almost tossed my cookies!

Here’s what we did.

Josh’s Workout

* Skiers – 30 seconds
* JUMPing Jacks with The Band – 30 seconds
* Indo Board Push Ups – 30 seconds (Buy YOUR Indo Board HERE!)
* Split Squat Plyos with a Twist – 30 seconds

Check out Josh’s advice on how to modify the workout and rest intervals to suit your own fitness level. It’s in the middle of the video.

John’s Workout
I had to go back through the footage to remember what we did. It was so traumatizing that my brain repressed the memory.

* Split Squat Jumps (again!) – 30 seconds (Get as HIGH as You Can!)
* Reverse Lunge with Knee Drive – 15 seconds on each side (Totally Suck)
* Rocker Push-Ups with a Plyo Push Up Finish – 20 seconds then bang out as may clappers as you can

You can do any of these movements at home or in your backyard. No gym needed! No excuses!

See you Monday!

MORE Protandim Proof!

December 8th, 2010

Protandim Reviewby Sean Croxton

I love this stuff!

I’ll be honest. When people send me emails about running Lipid Peroxides tests (to measure oxidative stress) in order to prove that Protandim works, I kinda roll my eyes. Why? Because the research out of so many prestigious universities keeps saying the same thing over and over again about Protandim’s ability to reduce oxidative stress by an average of 40%. The proof is already there. It’s apparent. BUT at the same time I can understand that people have been scammed out of their money by supplement companies time and time again, so running a fairly inexpensive test is worth it in the minds of many.

Last month, we showed you Before and After results demonstrating a dramatic reduction in oxidative stress. If you missed it, click here! This month, Protandim does it again! Check out the results below.

On another note, a funny thing happened when I was at Borders a few days ago. I was checking out Dr. Nicholas Perricone’s latest book Forever Young. On page 41, he states “Finding substances that can turn on the highly protective transcription factor NRF2 holds the key to preventing a host of diseases.” That’s exactly what Protandim does. It is a NRF2 activator that instructs your genes to upregulate the production of vital antioxidant enzymes. As a Lifevantage distributor, I am not allowed to say that it can reduce your risk of ANY diseases. But it looks like Dr. Perricone just did. Thanks, Doc! :)

Here are the results!

Before Protandim

Protandim Review

Our subject is a 44 year-old male. He took his test in late June of 2010. As you see, his lipid peroxides are very elevated at 9.44. A high score is 6.0 and above. This indicates quite a bit of free radical damage, otherwise known as oxidatives stress. Oxidative stress is associated with over 200 different diseases. This individual is a high risk for degenerative disease.

After Protandim

Protandim Review

Our subject began taking Protandim in October 2010, just after my big radio show/YouTube launch. On November 22, he retook the test and saw his former score of 9.44 plummet to 3.84. I’ve run hundreds of these tests and have only seen a handful of lipid peroxides scores below 4.0!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have another winner!

We have a handful of test results due back any day now. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on how they turn out. For now, we’re 2 for 2, in addition to 6 peer-reviewed published studies, and 26 other universities and institutions studying Protandim on their own dimes.

The stuff is legit. Period.

Protandim Proof!

October 17th, 2010

Skepticism is good.

When I was introduced to Protandim, I was a HUGE skeptic. I read the research and wanted it to be bogus.

I felt the effects and wanted them to be all in my head.

I heard that it could reduce oxidative stress by an average of 40% and I wanted to call B.S.! It just sounded too good to be true.

Over the past three or four years, every supplement under the sun has come across my desk. Each came with a litany of research. But the research was always on the ingredients and never the actual finished product. That’s what set Protandim apart from the others. The research actually had the word “Protandim” in it.

That’s big.

How many supplements are you taking? How many can you look up on Pubmed and find actual research on? Personally, I’d put a lot of tablets and capsules into my body without ever taking the time to look for the specific product research.

I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Protandim currently has 12 peer-reviewed published independent studies on its finished product. Harvard. LSU. VCU. Journal of the American Heart Association. If that isn’t enough, there are at least 22 institutions currently conducting studies on Protandim’s effects on various disease processes.

When I launched Protandim on UW Radio and YouTube, I was hit with more than a few comments about “selling out” and “selling snake oil”. It never bothered me one bit. I had read the research. I had studied the product for over a year. I wouldn’t dare put my name and the UW reputation on the line for nothing.

A friend of mine wanted to see proof beyond the aforementioned studies. He ran Before and After tests on his lipid peroxides, which are markers for oxidative stress. Check this out:

The Before Test

Protandim Before Results

As you see, our subject’s Lipid Peroxides are 9.51, which is a very high score. A score over 6.0 is an indicator of elevated oxidative stress and cellular damage. Oxidative stress has been associated with over 200 different diseases. Notice the “Date Collected” is August 12, 2010. Our subject began taking Protandim the next day.

The After Test

Protandim After

On September 24, our subject completed his AFTER test. His Lipid Peroxides plummeted by 48%, down to 4.90! This is a very significant reduction in oxidative stress.

Snake oil doesn’t do that.

Again, skepticism is good. But you should know me better than that.

Oxidative stress is associated with over 200 different diseases and conditions. I invite you to visit www.pubmed.gov, where you can find 106066 published studies on oxidative stress and its role in disease processes. While the FDA has bound and gagged me from claiming that Protandim reduces disease risk, I leave it to you to connect the dots.

Be on the lookout for Study #13. Any day now.
